Iofina plc is a vertically integrated business that produces iodine and manufactures specialty chemicals. Iofina Resources recovers iodine from the brine produced by oil and gas operations, which would otherwise be wasted, and has become the second largest producer of iodine in North America. Iofina Chemical makes iodine based and other specialty compounds for customers worldwide.
What we did
Chrystal was appointed financial adviser to Iofina plc. Our natural resources work is led by Raj Karia, with Kingsley Wilson, and focuses on companies already in production or close to it.
How we work in natural resources
We introduce project and company owners to family offices and specialist investors who understand commodity risk, and we help structure the capital so that it matches the life of the asset: equity, offtake linked funding or debt as the project requires.
Why it matters
Producing resource businesses often fall between the large mining funds and the generalist investor. Family offices with a long view can fill that gap.
